Mo·ra·vi·a AHD[mə-rāʹvē-ə, mô-] D.J.[məˈreɪviːə, mɔː-]K.K.[məˈreviə, mɔ-]NONE（无词性）- A region of central Czechoslovakia. Settled by a Slavic people at the end of the sixth centurya.d. , it became an independent kingdom in 870 but fell to the Magyars in 906 and later to the Bohemians. In 1526 Moravia came under the rule of the Austrian Hapsburgs.
